How do I get better sound out of this stereo?

 

Miss my ML sound from my previous 2007. My 2011 has the standard system (with Nav) and it does not come close to the ML version. maybe a speaker upgrade

 

I just want to deal with what I paid for.

 

What do you specifically find lacking in the ML system? Bass? Mids? HIghs?

Apart from turning off the ASL, changing the location of the speakers to just the front/driver, and playing with the settings theres not much you can do without going aftermarket.

 

Having left everything else stock, an additional amp/sub made a world of a difference to my stereo...
