Difference between non Mark Levinson and Mark Levinson
Hello, I just recently bought an IS350 and I was wondering if there is a difference in sound quality between a Mark Levinson and non ML IS350. My car currently does not have the ML package, and I was wondering for the people out there who have it, do you feel like it was worth it and is the base IS350 sound system good enough? I listen to alot of EDM and Trance in the car, and I heard that the base system was bad. However, it does have 13 speakers compared to my friends Infiniti G37 with the Bose system, which only has 11 speakers. So in conclusion ML vs Non-ML and Non-ML vs Infiniti Bose system. Would be great if you guys gave me your thoughts

There is audible differences with the ML as opposed to non. Having owned both, and currently with ML I don't think the price difference is worth it during purchase. My new (new to me) car was purchased used and it has ML. I CANNOT complain about the sound quality.

I have IS250 with NON-ML and IS350 with ML and I drive both car on a daily basis.
The sound quality between Non-ML and ML is DAY AND NIGHT difference. I have very high expectation on sound quality. The Mark Levinson has way clearer, more accurate, crisper high, mid, and low frequency. Together with the true surround sound effect, the sound quality is just magnificent. Technically, it has lowest harmonic distortion levels in the industry- 0.1% THD compared to the industry standard of 1.0% THD- resulting in more accurate, true sound. Beside, you can play DVD on the ML system.
I have added JL Audio sub/amp to my Non-ML system on IS250. Even though the bass is much better but I feel like the system is not so much balanced because sometimes the bass just dominates even with the bass adjustment of control ****. The ML system however is VERY balanced, I can hear all frequency so much clearer and accurately due to its low distortion property i would think.
For you to test the quality of the ML system, you need to have good sound source, high quality MP3 (256kbit or higher) or better CD quality etc.

...and I couldn't be happier....and over half of my 4,600-song iTunes collection is trance....even old vinyl that I converted to digital from my raving' days back in the 90s....
I am STILL 100% happy with my original purchase decision!!!!

A solution to the poor Premium audio Sound in the Lexus IS350
I have the 2011 IS350 and absolutely hated the Premium sound (non-ML) system for the first 2 months, even refusing to listen to music anymore in the car. However since then I have tried playing around with the audio settings and found that by moving the centre of the sound stage to the rear (2 notches back from centre and plus 1 notch to the right) I got pretty good sound. I am a musician and am very fussy with my sound. I hate playing with the treble, middle and bass unless I really have to.
