Default Lexus ES 350 vsc/engine/trac

Please excuse me if I haven't combed through the previous posts on this, its my first post, no snarky comments needed...

I had a check vsc, engine light, and trac light come on... I got the code checked and it returned
P0300 only. That was three days ago (5 totals days of the lights being on) and today I start my car up, and all the lights are off.

I've only had my 2007 ES 350 for 5 months. I bought it used with 48k miles on it. It was a seasonal car of an older couple in florida.
I'd been advised it probably neeed new plugs since none of the coil codes hit... should I still be concerned? should I still replace the plugs although the lights have gone out?

No snarky comments offered, but you should post on the 2007-2012 model forum. This one is 2013 +

The PO300 refers to a random misfire in one of the cylinders of the engine. If that was the only code, the computer did not have enough information to figure out which cylinder it was. If there is an issue, it could be caused by one of the spark plugs needing to be replaced or one of the spark plug wires needing to be replaced.

Generally, when there is an engine trouble code with a Toyota or Lexus vehicle, not only does the check engine light come on, but so do the VSC, traction control, and skid control lights. Also note that, when the lights do come on, if the computer does not see the same issue again within a prescribed number of miles, it will re-set and the lights will go off.

If it were my vehicle and if the warning lights only came on once, I'd likely not worry much about it, but, if they came on again, I'd have the codes pulled again to see if there were any additional codes which narrowed down the location of the problem.

Yep, you are more likely to find out whether others have had similar issues if you post on the 2007-2012 ES forum.
