08 ES 350 with 53k miles. Started getting a low-tire indication last winter and air pressures all around were ok. Drove from Ohio to Florida in Feb and low-tire light went off. This fall, the light
came back on, again the pressures were ok so the sensor must be sensitive to temp. Anyone else have this problem and what corrective action is suggested ?

 

i never had that issue before but i do know the heat in florid will make your tired preassue a little higher like 3 pounds or something around there in the hot sunny day

i have experienced this so now instead of putting 34 pounds like i used to in the cadillac i only put 30 pounds that will expand it up to the hgiht pressure that the car rides good on

perhaps all the road driving and the heat down here rose the pressure up a bit and tharts why i twas normal perhaps

also not sure if it would make a difference but the thickness in air does change also when in differen climates so not sure if that would have done it

 

Make sure you check your spare tire also. I would check/fill all of the tire pressures on a cool morning and then reset the TPS.

 

Are you the original owner? If not, how long have you owned the car?

On my '07 ES-350 I started getting the dreaded tire pressure light a few years ago.

When I brought my car in for its regular maintenance I asked them to fix the problem.
They told me there was nothing wrong with the sensors!

I asked them if it was normal for the ES-350 to have its tire pressure light come on near the beginning of winter and then turn off in the spring. They basically said "Yes!". Yeah right, sounds like a perfect car design to me.

So each year the cycle continued.

Then this year the light came on really early and has been on since.
Corrective action? I basically ignore it now.

I hope to trade in the car in the next year or so. I'll let the next owner deal with it.

 

ok, you folks have helped me but I am a bit red-faced. I didn't realize that the spare had a pressure sensor and, after numerous times around the 4 tires, after seeing some discussion on CL about the spare having a sensor I checked it and it was low at 25 psi. Apparently, this is marginal enuf for colder temps (like now in Ohio) to drop the pressure enuf to trigger a signal. Amazingly, when the spare was brought up to correct psi the light went off. Ain't technology wonderful ???

be sure to check the SPARE tire. It turned out that mine was low at 25 psi and this was the problem.
