Back up camera
Good question. I've owned my 350 for about 4 months but never looked into it. My first response would be NO as it would be a safety distraction. Have you checked the manual? If you find something let us all know.
Someone may come up with a mod to be able to do this. My 2011 Toyota Tacoma rear view cam can be modified pretty easy to be able to turn the rear cam on/off with a switch.
Also Tacoma has a simple mod to be able to turn fog lights on anytime with or without headlights or high beams.
T-Tap wire splice used made things simple.
Anyway, there are many mods for the Tacoma, possibly some for the Lexus ES in the future ???

On the MKS I'm currently renting, the camera stays on for about 15 seconds after you take it out of reverse. I'm not sure if there's an option to change the time it remains on. More than anything, I find it kind of distracting.
I previously owned a 2010 Fusion Hybrid w/ backup camera. IIRC there was a discussion on a forum describing a modification to permit viewing while driving. I seriously doubt any new Ford has this as an inherent option.
unless you can record the camera, why would you ever want to do this? (its only good for what 10'?)
now if someone has a hack to record the cam to a usb drive, that might be useful.. -like on YT Russia road rage videos.
