I'm looking at buying a 2004 ES330 and I want to replace the engine and transmission due to a motor failure. Simple question. Can I pull the motor and transmission out from the top of the engine compartment? I've done this plenty of times on Volvo's and Mazda's but just wanted to make sure there was enough room to use an engine hoist and pull the engine and transmission out as one piece from the top.

 

I've done an ES300 engine only from the top. that is my only insight to this lol
