Default Es 2000

So i currently own 2000 ES300, its pretty good, im the 3rd owner, i knew the previous guys as well. The car runs amazingly good, i work at valet parking so i drive new cars all day, and must say my car is still drives pretty smooth. Its all stock, i didnt make any customs on it, however ive replaced some stuff on it : Shocks, front axles/rotors, front/rear breaks just last week, brand new tires, HIDs fogs and low beams. Car is well maintained, i clean the insides every thursday, outside handwash every 2 weeks it looks good. however has few scratches on the rear bumper cuz morons that live in my building cant park for ****. Interior is well maintained, but driver's seat has a slights rip( it was there before i got my hands on the car) and rear seat has about 1.5-2cm long rip too( also was there before me). I love the car and i dont really wanna switch it, but since my bday coming up, my dad wants me to drop this Lexus so we can get a brand new one and pay 50:50 for it yet it should count as a present. So my questions are, would i be able to sell it for about 5-5.5k as it is so i could drop it as a down payment, and another is, im debating on what Lexus i should get. I like IS series, and they are pretty affordable yet, its too small for me, i cant really fit well enough in it( and no im not fat, just freaking tall ) so this choices falls off. Im thinking of GS series, i really like it a lot, or im cool with the new ES,yet my dad insists on RX. Ive dealt with GS series, i drove, even once had GS-F i loved it, but ive never touched RX. But you know driving for a little a car is completely different from owning it, cuz there is stuff that matters on a long run. So do you think i would be able to get 5-5.5k for my current Lexus and which car would you personally suggest and why. Thanks and sorry i made y'all read so much!

ya so much to read and no pictures???
even though have a RX i am not a fan of SUVs. I do like the IS and GS models too but GS is what i would go for. Also the new design IS pictures just came so maybe if you can wait for few months and look in to the new IS-F. Its a pretty slick design too.

ill get pics tomorrow or friday when ill be cleaning my car cuz rn its dirty, i just came from PA, they got mad snow in there. ive seen 2014 IS on Lexus news, it looks aight, but im still more into GS. As a teenager, id def go for GS, its sporty, looks good you know, but RX seems kinda good too, even tho in my opinion its meant more for older category of people than i am for sure. so im debating a lot, on one hand you have a 21 year old, on the other 50 year old, tastes go apart a lot

How many miles you got on the car? But so far it doesn't sound like bad estimate of price. I mean i'd like to see pictures as well, but it sounds like you've got a pretty good estimate of what you could sell your car for. I'm sure you referenced kbb?

Also personally I like the look of IS series, but I would agree it is on the smaller side. I've only had a chance to be in one once for a short time so I haven't looked into them other than that. My roommate owns a GS 350 and i've got to say that thing is pretty damn awesome.

currently it has 149k miles, original, changed timing belt at 100k, its just that i travel a lot everyday, so like about 85% of my driving time i spend on a highway, locally i only use it once a week to go shopping and school which is 10 min away. kbb said about 7k, but thats ridiculous, no1 in a normal state of mind will pay that much money for it you know.

well, not to rain on your parade, but NY has some of the cheapest Lexus' in the US... and i'm going by Craigslist

The 4ES seems to be in the 7k range, and the 3ES varies [upon year] up to 5.5k which is where you're at. This is something that is your competition;

Another one that has been listed for over a month is an 00 with 91k [but CEL on] for 4.5k
