I have a UL version with all the options EXCEPT (it appears) HID headlights leveling or not. Does anyone else have a UL Version without HID headlights. None of the UL cars I looked at in CA seemed to have HID, however the luxury versions did. Any thoughts?

It's listed as an individual option ($515). However, you can't get a UL version in my zip code without them.

I have the ES300h UL and although I cannot find a mention of HIDs, it has them and they do level when I start the car. I think all ULs get them, it is just not mentioned anywhere in the brochure or online.

It must depend on your area. It is not included in the UL package, it's an option. Look at the Lexus webpage and see how they configure vehicles sent to your area. Lexus has a very different way of doing things.

UL's are not available everywhere, the area distributer determines what they "think" customers in their area will buy. I special ordered mine, and waited 4 months for it to arrive, however the HIDs were not listed as an add on for the special order, I assumed they were not available with the UL package, however, they did come on my car.

Is there a definitive way of determining whether the ES300h UL is equipped with HID headlights? I know it has the automatic high beam option etc.

The best way is to turn them on after dark or in a garage a visually check them out. Also check the sticker that came with the car, it should list them in the content for the vehicle.

Actually, a really easy way to check is to start the car and look for the self-leveling icon right above the airbag (or to the left of LDA). This light only comes on for a second or two during the startup sequence so it's easy to miss. The symbol is a headlight with arrows pointing up and down. As others have stated, these are automatic self-leveling headlights in the 2013 ES which is different from adaptive front lighting. I have seen the headlights adjust when the car was loaded with 4 guys.

Default Replacement Fog Lights

I've replaced both my headlight and fog lights with the 5000K H11 Xtreme Digital HID Conversion Kits from KBCarStuff.com on my 2014 ES350. The headlight bulbs are H11 and the fog lights are H16. The 5000K looks great and match well with the DRL. The only thing is that the fog lights are too bright now because they're HID and drivers are flashing me. I've recently removed the HID fog lights and tried the H11 30W XenonDepot LED Fog Light Bulbs and the 5K WHITE 10 LED DRL/FOG LIGHT BULBS H11 H16 from VLEDS. So far both didn't fit the application. It's seems that the ring around the base is a tiny bit thicker than the OEM base. I'm unable to push the three prongs in all the way in order to turn and lock them. Spoke to the reps from KB and VLEDS and they said that their H11 would work without any issue. That doesn't seem to be the case. Does anyone has any luck with this? I could try the H16 Halogen bulbs but I would like to try the LED to try to match the colors on the headlight with the fog lights.
