Default 2001 es300 quick windows question.

Can someone with the same car (2001es300) please verify that when inserting the key in either of the front doors and holding the key momentearly in the lock position, that it will either close ALL of the open windows and sunroof, or ONLY the front windows and sunroof?

Mine only closes the front windows and sunroof, if any of the back windows are open, they remain open. The thing is that I could have sworn that previously all of the windows used to close. Otherwise all of the windows work fine.

So is it normal for the back windows not to close? Can someone with the same car please try it and let me know.

Thanks

Phillip

the newer Lexii requite you to hold unlock for 5sec. i believe and they open all the windows, kind of like Volkswagens have had since the 2000's

Thanks to both of you for your replies. I guess it always worked that way, and I didn't notice.

All is well.

This feature depends on the auto up/down window feature, which our ES300 only has on the front windows. Plus you can only access it from the key in the door lock, as a result I use it only rarely myself. Closing all windows via remote would be nice...

Same here, i discovered it a couple years back. I was talking to someone in the parking lot and left my key sitting in the door lock only to see the windows start to go down.
