Well, $32k is $2,000 under invoice. Are we talking a new car held over and left on the lot, or a used car with some miles on it. If its new, I would shoot for $34k, if its used, you should be able to do $32k.

Make sure its had the tranny reprogrammed.

I remember seeing somewhere that your ES was fairly base, as in no HID lights even, but that you have AVS. Was I mistaken? $41800 would be every option including AVS. If thats the case, how'd you find a car with AVS? I've looked everywhere!

I think it's difficult to find a new '02 ES now. I bought mine 3 month ago at Fremont's dealer and paid invoice. But only 2 cars with navigation left after. I think something $1-2K below invoice should be fair price. I do not know about used, maybe at least $5K below invoice if it has less than 1K miles.

I don't remember what the MSRP was but im gonna take a guess on the other stuff:

18" rims and tires (dealer showroom promo) : $4500

Spoiler: $350

Window tint: $300 (rip off)

Pinstripe: $300

I think thats it......anyway it came out to $41,850 but I paid $32,500

If your car was basic with AVS, then the MSRP was around $33,000. Makes the price including the extras around $38k. $41850 include tax?

The basic cars are actually really rare. In 2002 they shipped almost none of them. I'm starting to see some 03s on the lots that are base with just leather seats and no HID.

Gabe. I think you can get better price if they still have some '02 ES.

He should be able to do $500-$1000 under invoice, but not $2,000.
