Your opinion doesn't align with mine... so STOP IT !11!!!one!
uhm. ok
some cars look great in flat black....some just don't look right with it!!!!
most small cars look like crap in flat black..
only thing i can see that would look good in flat black are larger cars
i actually helped a friend to vinyl an entire car in flat black 3M film....a New Merc CLS500....and it looked wicked....but i tried picturing our cars in flat black....just wouldn't look right and that cardomain car proved my point.

It's not so much about the size of the car but its design. Curvy body panels look the best in matte colors. The ES is all flat, so it ends up making it look boring.
When I see a Lexus with tinted tails.. I always scoff. I think it looks horrible no matter what. This is a fine machine.. not a toy civic from the early 90's. Yes that is uncalled for but it is what it reminds me of. Just an opinion.
Not to mention it makes my blood boil when it's a sunny day and I cannot see your god damn brake lights come on because you thought it would look cool to tint them. I have to stop myself from getting out of my car and smashing their windows in after almost hitting some ******* with tinted tails that wanted to stop quickly and I almost rear end them due to having no indication. Oh, and if I did hit them. I would 100% sue for all and any damages because they chose to be an idiot.
/end rant. I have a lot of rage about these things after being subject to dumb people who do dumb things with large machines.
i don't think it has anything to do with what kind of car it is.There's a nice Mercedes Benz CLK63 AMG on youtube with lighty smoked tail lights and it looks great.Saying that just because it's a lexus means you shouldn't tint the tail lights is just flat out stupid.....Depending on the color and body of the car and how dark you tint it, i think it will look good.
Heres my finished product(& No the GS430 will not be getting smoked tail lights because it will look dumb,if it was silver or Charcoal gray then i might hit it with a few light coats)
ah.. opinions man.. we are all entitled to em.. of course the ones who enjoy the look will defend it and say but MINE looks good.
about this whole "It's a Lexus so don't do it deal..."
I only speak for myself when I say it has nothing to do with the brand's specific cars but rather that our cars are too nice to make look like a ****box driven by a teen with too much spare time. (you can tell I REALLY do not like the look of them) The only time I ever thought it looked cool was.....oh...never.
If I owned an Acura or something I would probably say the same... It's an Acura man, don't do it
has nothing to do with our specific cars beyond the fact they are nice stock and shouldn't be ruined with the teen civic L33T Modderz VTEC YOOOO lulzzzz look...
Yeah, I am a ****. But with that being said. I respect the hell out of anyone who takes care of their car and drives responsibly and puts any time or effort into them... even if it is not my cup of tea.
Well I do agree that its a LEXUS idea, and that if you own it treat it like it. Dont go and paint with spray can. I am a fan of flat black cars, like the 89 supra, but not a LEXUS. Eligants that performs. I personally think that the tinting that is done with window tint for the lights looks much cleaner and gives the lense a nice shine that goes along with the amazing shine the clear coat has.
Just to add a point brake lights are necessary but if your tail gating or don't see the vechicle ahead of you and hit it, your not being a responsible driver. I agree with the night time arguement that it makes it unsafe to see the smoked tail lights, but during the day antipatication is your best friend. On the flat or matte debate I saw a Camaro done up and it looked WICKED... and as far as lexus goes.... it looked even better! I think that done right this can look Awesome or it can look tailer park when not.
those taillights are way too dark....id be very afraid of being rear ended personally.
the work looks quality and i like the black wheels but the taillights are a bit overkill IMO.
