Default PlastiView Vinyl Perforated Film Tail light overlay

Has anyone tried using PlastiView Vinyl Perforated Film as overlay on their tail lights?

I think it would be make good sense because the tail lights will not lose brightness in doing so, or so i hope.

comments?

But if you use perforated vinyl, you may not lose the brightness...Right?

If the surface area is 50% perforated then I would assume you would only have 50% of the light output. This is probably illegal just about everywhere.

that is assuming the non perforated 50% is opaque. What if it was translucent like the smokey overlay?

Now you have a smokey vinyl with perforations....means much better brightness than just smokey vinyl.

I did some read up on plastiview and it seems it's for indoor applications really just to increase the lifespan of graphics and advertisements and it's designed for clean and smooth glass surfaces. I'm not sure what would happen on the plastic lens of a tail light. Also the thing is guaranteed to be removable for up to one year when placed on the inside of windows. I wonder what happens if you place it on the outside and more importantly after one year...Maybe it's not removable?

That is not true kuugi.
These banners are supposed to wrap up a car in advertisement, yet allow you to see through the windows.

see examples here
