ES300 Navigation
Ok, so I've posted here before talking about how I'm looking to buy an ES. I think I've decided on an 2002 or 2003 ES300. I prefer the look's of the 2001, but I think the 02' is more comfortable, all though that's not to say that the 01 isn't. < The ES300 is primarily for my dad, who drives 110 miles a day, so I don't care much about the looks. If I can't find an 02 with navi, then I'll settle for an 01. But, I'm not going for anything older than 01'. I won't be looking to buy till probably around June, but I'll be looking out for good deals.
Another reason, I want an 02 is because I want navigation. I made the mistake of buying an RX300, without navigation and I don't want to make that same mistake now. I probably won't use it much, as I have navigation on my iPhone, but still I like having the functionality.
So, is the navigation any good? LOL, I don't think it says street names, correct? Also, it's dvd based, correct? Can you log other things in the navigation system, such as maintainence items (rx300 navi let's you do this)? Is there any other things you can do with the navigation system, such as play a dvd movie?
One more thing, do the 02' and up ES300's have rain-sensing wipers?

A fully loaded 02+ es will have both those things, but they rare. The cheapest ive seen fully loaded es's for are about 9 or ten grand with a decent amount of mileage. I ahve an 01 es300 and i love it but i am looking for a new car, either an 01-05 gs430 fully loaded, or a 04-06 fully loaded es330. Good luck on your search

Cool, is there an easy way to spot a fully loaded ES visually? Like from a craigslist ad, or do i have to see it in person to see if it's fully loaded. Obviously, I can visually see if it has navigation on the ad, but how would I know if it has the rain sensing wipers? LOL, sorry for all of the questions.
I've seen 02 ES's near me for around 8k, with navi. Not sure if that means they are fully loaded though. It had around 110k miles. I'm not to worried about the miles, after all it is a Toyota drivetrain. haha But, yeah some of them are expensive like you said around 10k. Which is a bit more than I want to spend. I'm looking on spending around 7k, so I'm hoping the prices will drop down closer to 7 by June or July. If not, I'll just pay whatever the going rate is..lol, no option.

Everything on an ES is an option... There is no giveaway's as to what it has unless you look for it.
Even the super rare Sport Design ES' don't always come with NAV [saw one on eBay with base radio FFS]

Unless the market in your area has a flooded supply of 4ES's you aren't going to find a nice, or even half *** ES with Nav and auto wipers for 7k. You should be able to find both with low mileage for 12-13k. Look on the wiper stalk for an auto setting.

Ok, I'll be on the look out. There's a bunch of older ES's in my area, but not many 4ES's for sale.
I hope to find a rather clean ES. LOL < who doesn't, right?
