Default Purchase advice needed

GS400 owner looking for some advice. I need to pick up a winter car and found a 98 es300 with 195k on the clock. Car runs fine but the owner states there is a PS leak somewhere. Asking price is 1700. Any ideas on cost for fixing the leak? Any problem areas on these cars I should watch out for?

Sorry for the newb questions, I'm more familiar with the V8 cars.

Thanks

Can't answer on the P/S leak although it should be easy enough to find. Clean off the engine (I prefer simple green) and then drive it for a 100 miles or so then look for the source of the leak. As for gotcha's on that car, only a lack of maintenance. If it's been well maintained then the car will last as long as you need it to. Very good and very reliable cars.
