Default Will these wheels fit?

I have a 1997 Lexus ES300. Will the 1995 Lexus LS400 wheels fit on my car with no rub/problem? Will I need extra accessories to make it fit? Thanks in advance.

just don't run the balloons that come with them... those will not fit.

225/60R16... where your ES would call for 205/60r16 or 215/55r16 as an alternate size

Wait, so don't run the standard 225/60/r16? Which one then?

This was where I was confused. My apologies for being so new at this. From reading online, the LS400 takes 225/60r16 tires. When you said alternative sizes on the ES, 205/60r16 or 215/55r16, did you mean that's the equivalent I should use? My ES300s are 15" wheels.

^ yep. The first one is the oem size for the 00-01 cars [they came with 16"] and well, being the same car it would work on the pre 2000 cars too, obviously.

Confirmed. The 225/60r16 tires on the LS400 wheels DID NOT work on my car. I am having rubbing issues with the shocks and tires.

Original ES300 wheels with 205/65r15 tires:

LS400 wheels with 225/60r16 tires:

What should I do if I still want to use the LS400 wheels?

Did you even read what people posted on here? You need different sized tires.

Be nice fellows. Can't blame anyone too much for trying these things out after reading all these threads. Usually it's made to sound so easy: "bought this ES and threw some newer model 18" inch wheels and tires on her and it looks and drives great!" They don't mention very often how much money they hemorrhaged buying tires that didn't fit right, wrong off-set of wheels, the dangers of using wheel spacers, or how much time they spent at the tire shops paying to get tires mounted and dismounted and measuring and then any other modifications that need to be done.
And a new person has a hard time finding information that's been posted for a while, even with the stickies.
It's annoying, yes. But you know what? we all were new at this one time or the other, and everyone has a different opinion on what to do and not to do.

Dmight, thank you for your kindness. Thanks all for the help. I'm sorry my English reading skill is not that great. It was hard for me to understand what others are saying above. I had to reread them over 10 times to make sense of it. Then I must have misunderstood that it would work, so I went with the 225/60r16 tires on the wheels.
