I have a 2008 es350 and every so often when I put it in reverse the picture on the backup camera goes a bit haywire. You can faintly see images but everything looks the same color. It is all blurry and looks like the images are moving sideways across the screen even though I am in reverse but not moving. Usually when I shut the car off and start it back up it works fine. The last time it happened turning the car off and on multiple times did not solve the problem. The next morning when I started it after sitting all night the picture was fine. Any ideas??

I had some issues a few times and found by jostling the wire (by the trunk hinge, passenger side) I got it back, I assumed it was a loose wire and I'd have to track it down but it hasn't happened in a while so we'll see.

 

I had the same issue on my 09 GS 450h. Took back to the dealer and they replaced the camera since it's still under warranty. They said the camera just went bad. I found other forum mentioned that Lexus has extended their warranty for the camera on GX470 to 7 yrs and unlimited mileage. I have to check with Lexus if they provide the same extension on the GS as well.
