I am scheduled to pick mine up tomorrow. I am very excited.

Any new car pick up tip list or anything I need to be aware of?

This is my first Lexus!

Check carefully for dents, scratches, or marks, inside and out. They will fix anything you find before you leave the dealership. Afterwards.....

They repainted my front bumper twice to take care of a chip that was there before delivery.

Ask about any features you don't know about and especially ask about the personalized settings. After you get used to the car you can come back to the dealership and have them reset them once for free.

With a new Lexus you shouldn't worry if everything works before leaving. If you should find something doesn't work, say a mirror doesn't move, the dealership will gladly repair it for you under warranty.

The ES350 is a great car and I'm very happy with mine. It's a 2007 with 106,235 miles.

I just got a brand new 2011. I pretty much have no complaints about the car, except I noticed when driving it on the highway and interstate today that the top half of the front passenger seat shakes/vibrates constantly when no one is sitting in it. Has anyone experienced something similar? You think this is a good issue to take into Lexus about?

I have a 2007 that I bought new in November 2006. The front passenger seat also vibrated and made an annoying sound when unoccupied. The dealer spent several hours tightening everything they could. It took care of the problem. However, in the past 6 months it has started to vibrate and make the noise again. That's my experience.

New 2011 ES 350
All I can say is enjoy the car. With all the knocks this car gets for being "boring" it really is a dream to drive. I just got my last month. I had a BMW 5 series, and I just couldn't bring myself to go through all the expense and headaches again with the new model, especially with the run flats. The Lexus has every bell and whistle you could ask for, and the deals are great now. Enjoy.

I have had my 2011 ES 350 for about 5 months now and it is excellent. Very well made with quality materials and fit and finish. I almost bought a Hyundai Genesis, great price, a lot of features, liked the v-8 but the quality of materials just did not match up. I ended up with the ultra luxury package with Mark Levinson and love my car. The minor changes to the styling of the 2011 really make the car look better (IMHO). Great car no regrets, enjoy!

Got the 2011 ES for my wife as a valentine's gift last February. Haven't had a chance yet to fully enjoy it. Planning a road trip before the end of summer. But with only 6000 kms. driven on it, I say it was all that you expected from a Lexus. My daily driver is an 2007 RX 350 with 76000 kms, which still drives like the way I picked it up brand new.

Is there a way to have the audio stay on the nav screen and not revert back to the map?
I don't see it in the Nav manual but I hope it is a setting change.
Thanks, John
