I have an 2000 es300.

While I was at the gas station I moved my wipers up and tilted them out to the position where you would change them to clean under them.

And then I did the stupidest thing and moved my wipers back to down while they were still up in the wiper changing position and they hit my hood.

The passenger side seems fine, but the driver side will either not go all the way down or all the way up when I turn on the wipers even after adjusting them.

Is there a way to adjust it so will have it's full angle of rotation again?

The wipers actually went into winter mode when it hit my hood.

 

You should always move them up to winter mode to change/clean your wipers. Since the wipers are partially obscured by the hood, there is a risk of scratching the edge with the wiper arm when it is up.

It actually took me a while to figure out there was a winter mode when I first got my car, because I kept trying to lift up the arms but they hit the hood.

Geez, it took 26 hours!

The wipers have 2 positions they can "park" in. Normally they are retracted under the back edge of the hood, to sorta hide them and make the car a little more streamlined. But in the winter this can be a problem as snow gets packed down into the parking spot for the arms, which can bind them. So Lexus built a "winter mode" into the linkage. It's discussed in your owner's manual.

Walk around the passenger side of the car. Grab BOTH wiper arms and pull them up the windshield, like you are trying to make the wipers operate. Eventually you will feel them "pop" into a new position, and the won't sit as low under the edge of the hood. This will also allow you to flip the arms vertical for ease of changing the blades. Just don't open the hood when they are sitting vertical, you will scrape paint off the edge of your hood!

In the Spring, just push them back down to the "normal" position.

 

The 2G have a reversible plug on the wiring to the wiper motor. Disconnect it, turn it, and reconnect, and the wipers will park above the hood's edge.

 

I have a 2G- the plug actually says "FULL CONT" on one side and "SEMI CONT" on the other. Its located just below the passenger side wiper (under the hood of course). SEMI is the "winter" mode. What ever side of the plug you can read, is the mode it will be in. Good luck!!
