Default Spring Clips

I just picked up some spring clips on the advice of Lexpusher saying that it won't hurt the car and the spring rate will return to normal when I remove them... How do I get to the springs to install them? Should I take off my wheel and put the axel on a cinder block to put some pressure on the spring? The guy says it will lower my car 1 - 2 ". If this works I'll let everyone know, I know that it is not the same as getting aftermarket lowering springs, but I am tight on money now, and this seems like it's worth a try. Thanks for the help

OK, I took off my wheel when the car was on the jack, from what I can tell, we have some really big springs. I can barely see 2 coils just to get the clamps on. Is there some way to get to the spring that is easier?

Do we even have the springs like are on regular cars, or do we have McPherson struts or a wishbone suspension?

Default Mac Struts on all 4

I believe the ES uses MacPherson struts at all four wheels.

Ok, so I was right about the struts, but will these clips work on my springs anyways?

No clue if the clips will work or not man...you're forging new territory with those. Somebody had a lot of experience with them (I think it was Lexpusher) that posted in that last thread...might ask them...

I've got an eibach spring setup, so i can actually use the spring clips. I'll buy and install some by friday, hopefully. Keep in mind, installing spring clips isn't brain surgery. It's just 2 brackets and a screw and nut. People originally purchased them as lifting clips for trucks, and eventualy someone just turned the brackets around and realized they worked fine for tightening springs as well. All you need to do is take your wheel off to get to the spring.

yeah, i know how to put them on, but we have too large of springs. yeah, they say lift/lower clips. I PMed lexpusher, and he read them but didn't respond. The springs we have are gigantic, they don't look like they will fit. I can only see one coil.
