Default Oil Change interval

All,
If we don't put a lot miles on my 2007 ES 350, should I change oil every 6 months? Example: if I drive 5000 miles for 12 months, should I change oil twice a year or once a year?

Best to go with the manufacturer recommendation for your mileage. I think it's every 6 months. The exact information is in the manual.

Use Mobil 1 and change once a year is fine for you.

I change Mobil One / filter every 5,000 miles or 4 months, whichever comes first.

I drive about your average 5k/year. The dealer told me that if you do a lot of driving around town ( constant stop/go) then you should change it out at the recommended intervals, because the oil is not getting hot enough. If you do most of your driving on the freeway, then twice a year is fine. I change my oil twice a year. Whenever I drive in addition to driving around the city, I try to hit the freeway for a good 5-10 mile drive.

The engine and oil is fully warmed up in 8-10 minutes tops. But a got blast out on the freeway is always good for any car.
