Default 5k or 7.5k Mobile 1 synthetic oil change?

I am driving 75 miles daily to my work. I saw somewhere in a toyota manual that you can change your oil every 7500 instead of 5000 miles. Saw a post that he changes it every 50,000miles.
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-interval.html

Its a pain to change it every 2 months. Any thought changing oil at 7500 miles vs 5000miles?

I use Mobil 1 extended performance for higher mileage cars and I change my oil twice a year, maybe three if certain repairs were required changing the filter three times within the year. Every time I drain the oil, it's golden brown.

I run Lubro Moly and change it out around 7500 miles. With modern synthetic you can typically go a lot longer, but for piece of mind I prefer shorter intervals.

7500 should be fine for any synthetic. Using a Fumoto valve helps make it easier, cleaner, and a bit quicker.

7500 with any full-synthetic will be fine (i'd rather go with what's on sale rather then stick to a brand). That being said, original manual says 7500 with ANY oil is OK.
So based on assuming synthetic is better, you should be able to extend beyond 7500, but that's at your own risk, but I'd bet that it will be OK.

If you're putting on a lot of miles a year, you are driving for longer distances, so it will actually be safer to extend, versus those that are infrequently driving. I'd also put a time limit too, and say change once a year unless mileage is extremely low.

Do check your level every 2500 or so to add oil for oil consumption. And at least check at least a few times in your first cycle to get an idea of your consumption rate.

Not sure what your point is here. A BMW is a different car and brand then a lexus.
You shouldn't be following the service recommendations for a different car model let alone a completely different brand of car.
Otherwise you'll be looking in the trunk of your lexus for a battery and saying where the heck is it? or looking for your oil filter container and saying, what you screw on a whole filter? ridiculous! and lug nuts that go onto studs rather than bolts! how inefficient and ungerman.

Using Mobil 1 synthetic - my last oil change interval was 6600 miles on one of GS's for one year.. I did an Oil analysis thru Blackstone labs and they said I had plenty of oil life left and they suggest going to at least 7500 easily, so my next interval i will try to go 8500..
