im trying to figure out which will look better on my car. i ordered new kyb struts but now i need lowering springs.. the front sits higher so i was wondering if the H&R springs will look ok because they only drop the car 1inch in front and back and the Tanabe do the front 1.8 and rear 1. which set up do you guys recommend? the car now is sitting on 225/40/18 in front and 235/40/18s in rear.
Tanabe has the df210 springs that will fit your car with spring rates that are more specific to your car than the tein solara springs. http://www.tanabe-usa.com/df210.asp?id=1
I've had both the tein springs and tanabe df210 springs and hands down the df210 ride a lot smoother than the teins. Having said that, the tein springs give you the better overall stance.

do you have a picture of your car with both set ups?
I'd have to dig for my older pictures with the tanabes on. I currently have the tein setup on my car right now.
what size rims are you rolling or were rolling with those spring set ups.. if i go with the tanabe i dont want it to be to low that im bottoming out on everything either..but i do have 18s so i think i might be ok?3

I was always running stock wheels. you shouldn't be too low on them where you will bottom out. the only time you will bottom out is when you either have too many people in the car or when the shocks start wearing down. My only gripe with the shock/spring combo is just that - even with aftermarket shocks, the shocks can't handle anything more than a one inch drop or so. You will feel the shocks bottom out when you go over a big bump or hit a big dip in the road. Other than that, it's not bad at all.
i have teins. i got a pretty good deal from one of the vendors on here. to be honest, i wish i had gone with coilovers but i still love how my car sits.
