That the Solar Sensor to measure the Solar radiation and send the signal to the A/C ECU. The Outside Temp. Sensor is on the outside in front of the Condensor/radiator.

The thing on the dash does not measure the outside temp guys cause it WOULD NOT give an accurate reading of the outside temp through the front glass windshield!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The temperature sensor is located right behind the front bumber.GUYS, COME ON GET WITH IT! SHEESH. lol And no its not close to the engine so you don't have to worry about the heat from the engine effect. It's Not a speed sensor either.
Its for your headlights to come on automatically! For theose who have it on there dash but no automatic switch on the older Lexus's the sensors were put there prior to the cars actually coming with the feature here in the states.

Thumbs up

Oh cool, can you do me a favor and post one for the 96 LS! I don't have a sensor located in the middle of my dash though like A15 shows for the ES.
