Default FREEZING/Need help!

I feel terrible my little brother's es300's heater just took a dump on him and I don't know how to fix it. It's wierd, the car was setting for about a month, then we got it running, but the stock radio suddenly wouldn't work. About a week later, he tried to plug in one of those AC adapters and suddenly the heater stopped working. He said that nothing on the dash works anymore, no lights or anything. He said he check the fuses and they were good. Can someone help please?

It sounds like the electric blower motor is what is causing no heat to blow, I'm sure the heater core and cooling system are fine. How did your brother attempt to start/jump the car that would have caused sooo many electrical components not to work?

listen you just posted no information

you are supposed to start off thread like, heater problem 1995 lexus es 300
or something like that. dont you know the rules on this site let alone common sense??

but as kind but brutal honest as i am, lets begin.

I looked at your profile, it says 1996 es 300.

you say your car set/SAT for one month. you got it running [dont know what that means, you didn't indicate what you did to get it running nor tell us what was wrong].

the radio failed to work. next, he put in an ac adapter, specially one of them , and then the heater stopped working. do you mean a DC-AC inverter was plugged into the cigarrete outlet? and do you mean by heater stopped working:
1 the HVAC computer gave no codes
2 no detectable fan operation
3 the display is blank and no operation is possible
4 the air comes out cold
5 other

by nothing on the dash is working, does that mean the instrument cluster backlighting and the needles do not operate? if so, was this immediately when the ''heater stop working'' event happened?

which fuses did he check?

when the car starts does the instrument cluster warning lights come on , and go off, the same way they did previously?

Sorry about the brevity of the previous post. I obviously don’t know much about Lexus’s and haven’t visited this site much. I will more closely observe what’s going on tonight and relay a more accurate report of what’s going on in the morning.

Ok, my brother says that the display for the heater doesn't work, rendering the heater inoperative. I'm not sure what the area around the clock display is called, but he said that the only display working is the clock (I said dash earlier, but it's not the instrument cluster panel, it's the area around the clock and heater displays that doesn't work)
After the car had been sitting for a month (b/c of an axle problem), he tried to start it with a truck battery (probably not smart). Once he got the car running, suddenly the radio wouldn't work. Next, a couple of days later he put a DC AC inverter in the cig outlet and suddenly the rest of the diplays quit working (including the heater).
Hopefully that makes it a little clearer.
He said he checked the fuses, but knowing my brother he doesn't know where all of them are. If you think it's fuse related can u tell me where the fuses are located? Are there any other relays or anything that could be blown?
Oh yeah, by the way, the car is a 96 lexus ES 300

check the battery and alternator output

fuses are located in a black box, under the hood, near the driver side fender f
they are locaed also in a little compartment near the interior floor, driver front

It's just a fuse. He blew a fuse because he shorted it from sticking something in the cig lighter outlet. Check under the dash near the "knee" area.

He didn't say the A/C was working either. Believe me it's the fuse. Happened on me before. The radio, and climate cluster dies.
