Default CD Changer

Soo I don't have a CD player/changer in my 98 ES. I have the stock headunit with the CD controls on it though. How hard is it to buy a changer off eBay and have get it connected?

I really don't want to go aftermarket.

Im assuming your car had a stock CD changer in the glove box at one time. If that is the case, you can get one off ebay and it clips and bolts into the glove box and I belive there are two plug and play harnesses that goto the CD player, install the shield and reassemble the glove box and your done.

I'm curious if anyone makes an I-pod adapter that plugs in where the cd changer should go? I think that would be sweet to have the '97-'01 factory deck, but have an option for plugging in an MP3 player (other than through the cassette player).

I thought all ES300 came with a CD changer, guess I might be wrong. When you open your glove box, is there an opening on the top like where a CD changer could be bolted on. I would assume you would maybe have the ability to still install an OEM CD changer into your glove box. When I remove my glove box, the OEM CD changer in the rear hooks on and in the front there are bolts, one on each side that screw into the top part of the glove box and then a black shield with the opening for the CD changer.

I wouldn't spend money on a CD Changer. I would save up for a nice Touchscreen system

I dont think a nice system is worth putting into my 98 daily driver. I had one on my last car. But theres like a black plastic thing covering the area where the CD changer mounts. I had the CD changer on my 97 ES, but this one doesn't have it
