Default Door Locking

Hi Guys,

I have a new one for y'all: My driver's side power lock will not function on my 97 ES300. This means, when I user the button for lock/unlock all three other doors will comply but my driver's door requires that I manually move the switch over into the desired position. Has anyone else run into this? Just one of those little things that hasn't been a big enough deal to bother tearing my door apart for, but it certainly does pester me. Thank you for any input!

Well,i suggest you take that door apart and fix it.One of these days it might not open at all.Happened to me 2 months ago.I remotely locked the car went to buy something and it refused to open when i came back, the other 3 doors worked fine.I could not open even manually(from outside or from inside). It stayed locked and key would not turn.If that will happen, you will have to tear or rip apart the door cover by force, big headache and a lot of profanity associated with that job.Anyway,it was a $1 spring of the lock mechanism that did all that.Bad ***********ng design.
