Default ES300 Engine Swap

Does anyone have any info on swapping a different engine into an ES300? I'm not talking about a direct replacement but say the engine from a ES330/ES350, GS400/GS430 or LS400/LS430? To give you more power..... I have searched but all I get is topics about doing direct replacements. If there are people out there swapping I4's out of Honda civics for a "J" series V6 from Honda accords, it should be possible to do it for our cars but maybe add V8 power? I understand that anything is possible w/ time & $$$ but aside from that has it been done and can you point me in the right direction......

Thanks
