Default 1996 es300

I have a 1996 ES300 with relatively low mileage (~68K miles). It operates flawlessly except:

When cold, first five minutes of operating, first use of the day, the transmission delays shifting from second to third gear. Otherwise operation is flawless.

Any ideas? Thanks.

needs to get up to operating temperature.

I have an 01 es300, my dad has an 04 Rx330. Its the same thing in both. You have to let it warm up and watch the idle drop.

Pretty much when it gets cold out i go start the car hop inside the house get my stuff and then leave then house.

With that said DO NOT 'punch it' when it is cold outside without proper operating temperature the motor can 'jump' the timing belt a couple of degrees.
