Default 2004 ES330 Headlight Options?

Hello, I'm a new owner of a 2004 ES330 and this is my first post here on this forum.

I really want to replace my stock halogens headlights and I have two questions:

1. What bulb, can I replace my stock '04 yellow halogen corner parking headlight with, is there an LED that will fit?

2. The 2004 headlights looks to be the same shape as the 05-06 headlights with the projectors. Can I swap these out, or is there mounting modifications required?

Sorry, I tried searching and already read the FAQ but I could not find what I am looking for.

Thanks

Can this HID wiring be spliced, has anyone done this? I would think that someone would have done this swap by now. Too bad I cannot find a write up about connecting 05-06 es330 headlights into an 04.

Thanks

You just need to put different connectors on.

I'm glad that your an ASE tech. Could you be so kind to recommend the setup I need, in your professional opinion.

To replace my halogen 04 headlights, with the projector 05-06 headlights, what would I need?
  • 2x 05-06 headlights
  • 2x HID Ballasts
  • 2x HID Bulbs (D2C? or DSC? or D2R?)

Is that correct?

Thanks

Its best recommended to go with the original equipment, the 05-06 HID projector lights, the toyota/koito ballasts, and Phillips D2S bulbs. Then you will need to replace the low beam wire connector to plug into the ballasts. You can find headlights complete with ballasts on ebay. Then you should be able to purchase the connectors from lexus to splice into the original low beam harness.

Is this what you had in mind? (scroll to bottom of 1st page)

I have been wanting to change mine for years, but after spending well over a $1,000 on retrofitting headlights into my Accord; I just can't bring myself to spend that much $$ on headlights again.

I want to say yes....but the wiring needs some modification. You should search around. Someone has experimented with it before.

My 03 es300 has a cracked OEM HID headlight. I've been looking at replacements n I'm wondering if I can plug n play the 05-06 OEM HID projectors. I like projectors. =) Any help would be appreciated? Thanks.

Yes. If I recall correctly, the only issue I had was having to file down part of the plastic base on the parking light bulb. Everything is pretty much plug and play.
