Default Headlight problem

Hello all,

I have a 2000 es 300 & my passenger side headlight went out not too long ago. So I bought a new bulb, put it in, tried it & it didnt work. So i tried that bulb on the driver's side & it worked fine. I checked the fuses under the hood & those look fine. Anyone have an idea of what it could be? Relay, short? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

Try jiggling the wires where they hook up to the socket, they could be coming loose from the socket. I had the same happen to my 2GS, just jiggled it until the light came back on. I should get it fixed when I get the time though.

Check the pigtail for corrosion and clean it if if necessary. Youll need to get a wiring diagram and a 12 volt test light to trace the wiring. Did you physically test the fuse?, meaning do you have power on both sides? Sometimes you cant tell just by looking at it. Either way; you need to check the pigtail and the wiring. Does the hi beam work?

Yea I physically checked the fuse it works fine. Also I cleaned for corrosion, no dice there. So Im going to try and trace the wiring and see if I can find a short somewhere or something. And yea the high beam works.

There is a headlight relay that could be bad.
