I know the newer es' have that feature, and i'm looking at a 2000 and its black on black so being able to roll the windows down before I got in would be great. I'm not sure if they have that available, eventhough the keypad looks the same or similiar if im not mistaken.

I unfortunately do not have that feature

...check your owners manual. my guess is that your car does do it, i have 2001 and it does. you simply put the key in the drivers door turn left to unlock and hold it for 5 seconds. then the two front windows roll down along with the sunroof opening full.

Wow....I read my owners manual, and I don't remember reading about this feature! I initially thought that the OP was asking if there was a button on the remote to open the windows.

I had no idea that turning the key to the left would open the windows like that! Learned something new with my car today!

I discovered this by accident last summer...

My folks used to have a 2003 jetta, except in that car, all the windows go down with this method. So i figured if a german econobox can do it, this car should too!
