Apologies if this has been asked and answered but a search didn't turn up what I was looking for. I purchased and installed a new map DVD today but it seems to have lost its way. Clicking Nearest Cities for example returns no cities found. Is there something else I need to do to get this thing to register where it's at? I've got a 2004 ES330.

I did find something interesting about hacking the system to allow entry of nav info while in motion. Anyone that can briefly explain this to me?

Just like you, I purchased the very expensive nav system for my 2004 ES-330. I was very disappointed in that the lady on the DVD (who I named Hilegarde) didn't have a clue where I was going or supposed to be going. I couldn't even find a McDonalds if I put it in, or other prominent places. It also tells me there are no corresponding cities for certain areas when I plug in places that I know are there. I returned my vehicle to the dealership who installed it and they said they found nothing wrong. They just kept telling me that all business and residential communities don't register with the "map club". Actually, the one that came in the car was "MUCH BETTER" than the new one. I was even tempted to have them put the old one back and refund my money. I keep trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but from where I sit it was a financial rip-off.
