People r telling me that the 1994 lexus es 300 is obd 2,how is this possible?I checked under the dash driver side and it is a circle insert,I thought all obd 2 was more like a square shape plug.Am

You are definitely in the wrong place it is the rectangular plug that you mention. I just checked this out at www.scangauge.com to verify it is probably further up and under the dash more. 1994 Toyota has the ES300 listed.
By LAW 96 is odb II. Lexus ES300 V6 94+ are odb2. There are 3 connectors. The silly round one, a wierd one under the hood and the ODB II with the fuses behind the panel to the bottom left of the instrument cluster.

He is right, lexus was 2 years ahead of the game with OBDII. THey started putting OBDII in the ES in 1994.
This topic is called Help help help me but really it is about OBD connectors. That's not very helpful when scanning the board. Why don't the mods fix the topic titles?
