Default OBX Headers

So I was on ebay the other day and I found es300 headers...Being kinda cautious, I pm'd the seller and he told me that OBX is now making these new 1mz-fe Headers for the 97-01 ES...

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/OBX-S...spagenameZWDVW

Does anyone have, or know of anyone that has, any experience with these?

From what I've read here headers make little to no difference on our cars.

looks like something worth looking into. the only thing i'd be afraid of is fitment, but from other forums people have said the obx header and y pipe is a close copy of the jpp header and y pipe. Also you would have to either add on a cat or use an 02 simulator. other than that i think this would be a nice mod. someone be the guinea pig, so i know if it's worth getting

Cool

The OBX headers have been discussed at length and tried by a few.
Don't forget - these cars have all been out a WHILE, so if you search enough, you'll find someone's posted at length about a topic/idea/etc.

The link above takes you to another TN thread that discusses OBX well. CAN they be done? Well, ANYTHING can be done. It's just a matter of time, resources and money.

on closer inspection of that thread and photos the y-pipe looks like crap :P

I can't imagine that the merge between the two banks is any better than the stock manifold and y-pipe. Just my .02. Save your cash.

Apparently the OBX part number for this 11085, if anyone wanted to do more research. This set up opens up the piping to 2.5", which should make a difference you can feel. I agree with Choas that the factory exhaust manifolds arent very restrictive but the narrow factory Y-pipe is the probably the most restrictive part of the exhaust system.

In either case, this is still better than spending $1600 on the JP Headers and Y-pipe.

if you take a look at the obx design and jpp design they look almost identical if you exclude the cat. it looks like there was an update in their design unless it's just a picture thats different with the obx and their still selling the same product from that thread.

JPP headers:

obx headers(new design)

obx headers(old design)
