Default 1999 ES 300 model types

Certain auto parts sites lists parts for two types of 1999 ES 300:

1999: 6Cyl 3.0L 1MZFE Base
1999: 6Cyl 3.0L Base

What is 1MZFE? How do I know if my car is that type or not?

The 1MZFE is the engine code for the third generation ES 300. Read more about it here.

Hope this helps...

Thank for the replies.

Some auto parts sites list a range of manufacture dates of "8/1996 to 7/1999" or "8/1999 to 6/2001", and some other sites list "base" or "1MZFE" to determine which part you need. I guess that is two different ways to ask the same thing. Mine has a 5/1999 date of manufacture so I guess I have a "base".

Be aware that California cars may have slightly different components. Especially relating to emission and exhaust systems, and possibly Engine/Transmission Computers

Default Thank you

Hello Hypervish,

Am looking into car part as suggested. I am looking for a center wheel cap, front door courtesy light assembly, and possibly gear shift. Any other suggestions?
