Has anyone tried debading the es350? I think the car would look a lot sexier without the "Lexus" and ES350" chrome badges, but im not sure if there are holes there, anyways, just wondering if it has been done or not.

 

no holes.. they're jsut stickers ... pull them right off... .... already done it with my car....

haha nope.. X_X needa job first..... well i do have enough cash in my bank to get that started been sorta lazy....

a buddy of mine said i could just run the stock speakers on an aftermarket amp..... to improve the sound..... i may try that first before i gut my car..... given wehn you buy new set of component speakers you should get a new amp......

 

Got my badges taken off at a hook up shop when they put my mesh grill on n tinted my tail lights.... They said it was easy to do, jus used a heat gun to soften da glue n jus pulled em off......

I wish they made the badges in the dark pearl color (the steering wheel emblem).

 

?? my steering wheel emblem is chrome... like the other emblems....

 

I debadged the Lexus and ES350 from my trunk last night.

I aimed a hair drier at it for a few seconds to soften up the glue and then pulled the lettering off with my fingers (hot!). The glue is a gray polymer that's the consistency of bubble gum.

I used my fingers and fingernails to rub off any remaining residue and then cleaned up with some isopropyl alcohol and then some Meguire's cleaner.

There are still a couple of spots around the edges of a few former letters that can be seen from up close. This appears to be wear from grit that got caught in the edge and was perhaps was abraded by hand rubbing during washes. Not sure about that.

It should polish out, though. You can't notice unless you're up close.

The car looks much cleaner (IMO) without the added text on the back of the car.

Thanks. I agree. Next, I'm looking to replace my license plate frame with something thinner and without writing. As soon as I find something that has descent quality without a high price, I'm there.

 

I have the chrome-like frame as yours, and turned the frame around backwards. The writing is now on the back of the license plate, facing towards the trunk lid. The holes line up and there is just a small chrome-like border around the plate. I'm still looking for a better frame, but this looks OK for now.
