Got fuel at the rail? Got ignition spark? Got Compression? Timing Belt broke?

Question

To work these problems I always have to return to first principles:
  • Have you verified the battery is charged?
  • Did the seller of the battery show you the gauge to allow you to confirm the battery is charged?
  • What was the length of time between confirming a charged battery and installing it in the car? And was the battery possibly left on the ground during the wait?

*no the seller did not show me
*not sure what you mean by this question
*the battery was bought on friday of last week....the battery was left in my garage on the floor for about 4 days and then i put it in

I assume you know what a starter looks like so I am not gonna throw up a picture . . Its on the right hand side to the engine, theres on wire leading into it from the bottom. You'll have to reach your hand through and check if its plugged in properly. I wish I could take a picture right now but I am stuck at work & thats about as best as I can describe it to you. I am almost positive its in between the engine and battery. You can spot it easily from up top.

The original poster is saying that the engine is in fact cranking over, but just not starting i believe. If thats the case then the starter and battery are fine, There is another issue.

How many miles are on the car?

Ever had a timing belt done? That could cause the engine to crank but not start. Are you getting spark at the plugs? Fuel pressure at the fuel rail?

Not sure if it has anything to do with this...have never tried it myself. Hypothetical: It has enough power to turn on the accessories, but enough power drained that it can't turn the motor over.

Please clarify. Is the Engine Turning over, but not Starting? Or is it not turning over at all?

"I have a quarter tank of gas left".
You may have ice/water in the fuel line.
