Default car jerking....weird problem

hey all! I noticed something now with my lexus and it's a bad thing........ sometimes when I try to press on the petals and accelerate my car jerks, it looks like fuel is not going through or something clogging stuff up so the car like jerks then it goes fine a few seconds after!

this happens randomly.... do I need to have my fuel injector line clean using the professional technique? or what else do I need to do?

If your tranny fluid level is fine and it's not that problem I recommend you go clean your injectors and change your plugs. But a surging def sounds like a tranny problem.

Could be the tranny. Change the fluid and the filter. Filter is like $30-$40.

i had that same problem with my 92 es before and it was a hole, more like the hose was almost completely separated from each other on the bottom of the hose leading from the air filter to the intake........ does it only happen when you take off faster than normal?

After you step on the gas, is there a hesitation? Like almost 1 second or 1 1/2 seconds before the transmission has this jerk? Are you somewhat punching the accelerator when this jerking happens? Does it feel like the car is thinking before it decides to go faster?

It could be what you are experiencing if the ES effect. When I punch it, my car will do nothing for a second before it decides to move faster. Kinda hatin this nusiance more and more each time I want to give it some go. It's a transmission issue.

its the hose that is connected to the air filter. take the hose all the way off and inspect for cracks underneath, over time this hose can become hard and crack.

i had a similar problem with the steering wheel jerking, really really badly from stop to go. i shortly replaced the whole front end suspension- repacked cv boots, rebuilt coilovers, moog swaybar endlinks, energy suspension LCA bushings, moog tie rod ends, toyota balljoints, power steering flush, and tranny flush over a matter of a few days. so something in there that i had replaced was the problem. i suspected it was the LCA bushings as the culprit, as i had noticed deterioration some months ago. now, no more problems, i just hope that the engine doesnt go out.

so check your suspension parts first.

i don't want to sound stupid, but is it a traction control malfunction?? sometimes when i punch it (with TC turned on) it seems like i'm pressing harder on the gas and it doesn't go anywhere, almost like it's thinking. when TC is off, it's fine.
