Default ES300 braking behavior

Something that always kind of bugged me.. when breaking normally (giving adequate distance to come to a stop), the front end just dives down. This is especially noticeable in the night time where the headlights are on. I know the front brakes do most of the braking, but sometimes this makes me think the rears aren't doing anything. I've driven many other cars that don't exhibit this nose-diving braking action. Brake fluid has been changed this year and rotors are A-OK. Anyone else experience similar?

Struts definetly contribute but these cars just have poor pitch control. Mine as always driven that way, tradeoff for the compliant ride.

You're both right. Once I upgraded my suspension (struts and springs, etc.) the nosediving behavior with braking stopped completely.

Is my ride now as compliant as OEM - no way! But it's a hoot on the twisty backroads and cloverleaf interchanges!
