hey everyone. I'm guessing I have a bad cat converter and I just hit 80,000 miles. What's the lexus warranty on cats? I think it's 80k which puts me out of warranty. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

 

That's right on the warranty, 8 years or 80K, whichever comes first and it is a federal warranty.

P0420 can be cat related, O2 sensor (the one after the main cat) related or just a brief sensor reading out of whack. I assume you cleared the code and it came up again?

 

Yeah. Every time I reset the cpu it would come back on. I called toyota and am waiting for a call back. I should have taken care of this earlier. Thanks for the info.
