jflaco if you've got mechanical aptitude it's doable. PITA, yes, but so is paying someone else to do it!
get to know your car. spend some time under the hood. check the stuff i mentioned earlier. yank the intake, you're gonna have to if you're gonna get to the rear vcg. all that stuff is gonna leak downward and make a mess of the underside of the engine. the top end looked ok on ours too if you weren't sure what to look for. but like i said it poured- literally.
so do it all, do it once, and do it right and you're set.
mechanically im up to it & able, after working on my ls and it messin up for god knows what im just hesitant...& yea, it looks like alotta stuffs gotta come off to get to that rear area but ill get over it, thanks alot, ill get to it soon...snows comin' & def. let u know
im just gonna change/flush the fluids & have som1 tell me exactly where the smokes comin from for the $70. than ill start messin with it since its running fine, id rather know from where 1st.
