Default Can't eject hybrid map DVD

I've tried to install a hybrid 5.1/6.1 DVD, and I get the "program can't be read" message with the Japanese characters, now I can't eject the DVD. Does anyone know how I can get the DVD out? Pressing the menu button doesn't do anything. Thanks!

What's a Hybrid DVD, and why did you try installing it in your NAV?

A hybrid DVD is a combination of the 6.1 data with the 5.1 loading file which enables you to open the service menu to override the lockout while driving features on the Nav system. There are many posts within these forums about creating and using such a hybrid DVD, unfortunately I haven't had luck yet getting mine to work.

I tried to do the same thing and encountered the same problem. Just shut down the car, wait a minute, start and hit eject again. Eventually it will pop back out, it just takes a little time and patience.

Good luck.

Wow, Lexus really does not want you playing around with that system. They make it very difficult to do anything.

Next time you want to watch a DVD movie on your ML system, you will have to put it in park, set the emergency brake, put your hazards on, open the trunk, hit the homelink button, and then honk the horn.

Problem solved! By pressing & holding the lower left corner of the screen (where the eject button would be) and pressing the upper right corner (where the map dvd button would be) seemed to work, it ejected the disc. Not sure if it was one "invisible" button or the combination of both, but I have solved the problem.

After it reboots you don't get the main screen? Hmm...maybe try to not completely start the engine - press the on/off button without your foot on the brake, see if you can try it then. I had to try the invisible button approach a few times before it worked for me.
