Exclamation touch up paint question....

ok the Graphite Gray Pearl is 1c6..... sooo i went to the closes pepboys and got some..... today on my 4 hour break from work i touched up a bunch of the scratches and chips (which is on the top half of the car...) wen i notice its lighter then the top half.... but wen i put a small dab of it on the bottom half its darker which is the color of the top half......

i think its soooo weird that its the opposite color....

am i missing something???

plzz help my car kinda looks worse then with the chips and stuff.....

yeah, IMO i wouldnt ever use touch up paint. because any paint outside of the scratch and onto the original good paint looks really weird in good lighting. ie, when the car is clean, and you look, you see a big splotch which either looks like damage or a really dirty spot. IDK if you can understand me.
but yours came out ok.

What would you recommend instead of touchup paint? I am also looking into getting rid of some scratches on my ES and I want it to look good

I've used the AutoSharp paint pen before when I had my ES, and I've gotten pretty good results even on the tiniest scratches and chips.

i wouldnt use touchup paint at all. because the scratch is a scratch, it can be seen up close, probably not far away. but when you use touchup and miss the scratch(go out onto the original paint) it looks weird in good lighting and on a clean car. but thats just my opinion. as for paint, i wouldnt know, never used any touchup paints. try lexusk8 idea. usually he is very resourceful and does his research on his homework.
thumbsup for him as well.
Goodluck
