Default Need a 3VZ Engine

Anyone knows where I can get on locally (Miami, FL) for a good price and descent miles?

Cool

Probably not going to happen. There are not 300,000 3vz-fe's in America to begin with & the vast majority of those are still on the road. 1/2 of what's left is wrecked & the other half is useless without a rebuild due to lack of maintenance syndrome.

TAPRecycling.net, or a JDM import from http://www.tigerjapanese.com/. I'd go the import route.

Cool

That's lucky! LoL!

Spend the $150 bucks on a master gasket kit & re-gasket the engine externially.

Then again, no. The local place has 4VZFE engines and after some research on the MR2 forum, the engines aren't the same, although the guy said that they're the same.

Cool

Hahahahaha what a ****. It's a 2.5L version of the same thing. You definately would not enjoy that engine in an ES 300.

Good thing I did the research on that engine. On other news, I did find a local junk yard that had a Camry engine. The engine swap was done and pretty much complete. The only thing I have to do is change the oil pan of the Camry to the lexus as the oil pan from the Camrys don't have the oil sensor switch on them. Then I'm going to do a transmission tune up and I'll be done. I got lucky and found an engine that's clean with low miles.

Now, I just need to find a buyer from the 1MZ engine that I bought thinking it would work on my 92 ES.

Don't forget to post it in the classifieds over on ToyotaNation.com as well. Lots of Camry guys are over there that might be interested as well.
