I have a 2000 Es 300 and the cd changer is stuck and will not eject. Any help? How can you tell if you have the Pioneer or the Nakamichi changer without removing the unit. The ex owner said it had a Nakamichi radio but do this mean the changer is the same. I am thinking of buying a used one or getting this one repaired. If I buy a used one Is there different models and years that will fit

Well, I got annoyed at the trunk mounted cd changer in my 97-so I installed a Pioneer in dash unit-purchased from Crutchfield-They were SOOO helpful-they talked me through wire for wire hook up that allowed the Pioneer to be used with the factory speakers, without rewiring anything. I DID have to solder wires to some RCA cables though- (Unusual set up on the Lexy because of the factory amp under the front seat)-I later added a sub in the trunk and my car now sounds incredible with very little additional expense or work!

 

oops-dunno what I was thinkin-I did the Pioneer change on my '94 Es300-it's not a '97 (wishful thinkin I guess, although I only have 79000 miles on it!)

I was opening my cd changer, but the black carpet thing that goes on top was kind of blocking it, so it didn't open. So now the door doesn't open, but the cd cassettes are like ejected, but inside. And i press the button, i hear a clicking noise, but it still doesn't open X_X
I kind of serached for a solution, and there was a TSB for this from Lexus, but i really need to fix this now.. WHY!>!!>
-So, yea how do i open the door?
just take the unit out and take it apart?
