I heard that many problems has occurred with these cars. What I would like to know is would you buy one for your mother if she liked the style of it?

Based on my personal experience - YES. I'd put mom in one in a heartbeat.

Most definitely. In fact I'm trying to talk Mom into it now. She's hust so anti-high end car that it's hard convincing her it's worth it.

I wouldn't recommend this car to my brother in law, who I don't like in the least.

Your mom would love it. Still winning awards for reliability and quality, luxurious, roomy, safe, tons of features.

So here's your solution.......In a few months, give your mother in law your '07 GS and trade in the '07 ES for an '08 GS. Voila, situation resolved.

Just brought a PP+ with Nav home for my dad yesterday, he took it for a spin last night and absolutely loves it. The car is very quiet on the highway and just the right amount of throatiness with city driving. He's 66 and cant stop talking about the car. At first he was intimidated by the stop/start button! I just talked to him at work about 10 minutes ago and he tells me everyone at work is jealous! Go and get her one now!

Cool

Ya I would.
Honestly... She would sell it for a G / G35, but ya man ES350 is a great ride for a mom / grandparents. Price of a Caddy/Lincoln, but better... In ever concieveable sintuation....

Not to downplay things but in all seriousness a flaring transmission will never cause a video like this under the car's warranty.
