Help.. How do you change the Wiper blades (rubber inserts) on a 2002 ES300. Can't lift the arms off the window because it hits the edge of the hood. At the most they will come off the windschield 1-2 inches.

 

You will have to pull the wiper arm up. This is called the "Winter setting". Keep the wiper arms flush with the windshield and exert an upward motion towards the roofline with some force. They will raise up to a higher position about 1 1/2 inches higher than normal. Then, you will be able to raise them off of the windshield clearing the hood in order to change the blades.

 

i found this out when i read the manual. very interesting feature.
