I'm with e-man on this, it should be the dealer handling EVERYTHING for you including intermediary between you and Lexus corporate, you should not be having to contact them yourself, they should be at best contacting you over this after dealer alerts them.

It is shameful what people are put through.

I agree with you Bob and e-man. Every day I question where the quality is with these cars. Then I talk to the dealer\Lexus and wonder where the customer satisfaction is. I'm stunned by both.

But I'm also the kind of guy that recognizes things for what they are and if the above two are what they appear to be, at least other buyers can become aware of what they'll likely be in for and they can make their decisions accordingly. If buyers go ahead and disregard the excellent information here because it won't-happen-to-them, then I wish them luck.

This is the best source on the internet for the 2007 ES - warts and all.

Well, the bright spot to it is that they will now have no choice but to buy it back as they certainly cannot fix it.

And then you will be rid of the hassle you have been through for so many months.

New Video for you......WOOHOO Redline...wait, that is a bad thing in this situation

Big Flare

I actually turned the camera to me so they can't say it was not my car. Oh, the camera shakes a little when it flares. Even though I know it is about to happen it still scares the crap outa me.

UNBELIEVABLE is all I can say. That video shows it so well, in an extreme way. You have all the documentation you need rboyle. What has your dealer\Lexus said to date?

I suspect by now that this is ruining your enjoyment of the car.

I am going to drop off my car in about an hour today. All Lexus has had to say so far is that they cant recreate and that they need to recreate to take action. I am at the point where I have the video proof and the car will sit there until they recreate it or decide to replace it.

Ask for the shop tech foreman and the service manager to take 5 minutes with you, show them the most recent video and the one prior and simply say this is what it should not be doing at all.

If they will not meet with you for any reason, then ask to meet with the general manager or general sales manager and show them.

That will end the madness. It is a shame so many people are put in the postion of having to repeatedly prove things with their car.
