Default overheating problems when car is driven hard

car: 1990 ES250

the car keeps overheating on me when it is driven hard. for example, the other day i was driving up a long and constant incline and the temperature gauge kept climbing even though i slowed down well below the speed limit. i had to pull over.

it was belching out coolant.

is the exhaust too restrictive? what other causes could there be for overheating issues.

Cool

Stuck thermostat.
Clogged radiator from not changing the coolant enough.
Radiator fans.
Rotors worn off the water pump from not changing the coolant enough.
Dead pressure caps.
Ignition timing too far advanced.
Unless you want a blown headgasket, stop driving it until you solve the overheating
