I must be really annoying, but I have another question. After I put in new Silverstar light bulbs I must a have changed my headlight alignment as the bubble indicator show that the left side is very off. Also when you look at the headlight spread from the light both sides don't look the same.
Does anyone know how to realign the headlight on a 98 ES without going to the dealer? I know you have to some screws; but I am not sure which. Also do I need a special tool because a Phillips head can not fit in the enclosed place.
How do you align the headlight?
Thanks

The aiming things don't work that well. Just looks pretty in the engine bay.
Park about 10-15' away from something flat. Measure the height of the bulb in the headlight. Turn the lights on, center the beam at the same height & adjust the left & right to light the lane you're in & taper off to the sides.

Exactly as what Pheonix said. I prefer to find a parking garage and park at a flat surface near a wall. You need either a Philips driver, or better yet an 8mm socket wrench for headlight aim adjustment. Adjustment instructions are stated in your owner's manual.

Seriously. Plus its almost impossible to adjust the left headlight since the battery is right behind it.Originally Posted by Pheonix
